Coloring Easter Bunny

Children like to use straws when drinking something. They can make the straws by their own hands and it will not be very expensive (less than  $4), and if they work together with somebody, it will be more funny.

The following things are necessary to begin the work : Pastel Construction Paper, Laminating Plastic, Scissors, Glue, Exacto Knife, Googly eyes, Pom poms (optional)

Let the children paint an Easter Bunny on the white constructions paper. Its height must be approximately five inches. To cut out the little figure use scissors.  I think it is better to make other parts from the paper of different colors. For example, the carrot will be certainly orange, as for the nose it will be rosy.

Jacket will be dark red. Then place all the details on the white form of the Ester Bunny. You see, the work is similar to gathering a paper doll, using the parts of colored paper. You needn’t to make the eyes at this stage of your work.

It will be done some time after. Stick carefully the parts, the amount of  the white glue must be enough, but not surplus, in order the work to be accurate.

The laminating plastic will help all the details to be strongly fixed in their places, so you needn’t too much glue. So put the figure between the sheets of laminating plastic, after its cooling you can cut it out. There must remain a narrow stripe (about 1/8 of an inch) of clear plastic around the Easter Bunny.

Then comes the turn of the googly eyes which you are to glue to the upper part. Then  little horizontal cuts must be done over the stomach and below the shoulders, not very near to edges of the Easter Bunny. The similar horizontal cuts must be recurred  at 1 inch below the previous ones. Then arrange the straw in the cuts in the center of the toy. It wasn’t difficult, was it?

The children can simply paint their Easter Bunny on a piece of paper  and then put it into laminar sheets. Or they could choose some interesting drawings in the coloring books or cut out various figures from the old Easter cards and laminate them.

You can make by your own hands not only an Easter Bunny, there are no boundaries for your imagination.

Easter Egg:
The children can use yellow construction paper to make an egg and decorate it with stripes and dots of different colors.

Spring Chic Straw:
You need some yellow construction paper for the body of the Spring chic. Adorn it somehow. Then cut out an orange bill. Fix the details using white glue. Laminate it and don’t forget about eyes.
