Easter Egg Pictures

This Easter egg picture frame craft project is very interesting and fascinating. It is ideal for people of any age and you can do it even at home. Children in all American educational establishments are to draw some pictures every year so why can't they paint the Easter Egg!

If a grown up or a kid wants to produce anything by his own hands it is the best possibility, isn't it? Let it be complicated or simple, it doesn't matter, only let it be attractive.

The creator needs: Pencil; Cardboard; Air Drying Clay; Paint (Water Color or Acrylic); Water; Cardboard; Pictures Clear Acetate or Laminating Paper; Glue.

Folding Picture Frame Stand

You are to begin with drawing out an egg form on some piece of paper. It can be big or little, it depends on your wish only.

Then the egg must be cut out.

Lay the paper Easter Egg flat on a piece of poster board or cardboard. Trace your Easter Egg on cardboard. Cut it out with some scissors or an sharp knife. This will be the model to trace into the clay.

Roll your air drying clay or polymer clay out on a flat surface. If the material is air drying clay roll it to about ¼" thick. If it is polymer clay you can go a little bit thinner.

Lay your cardboard Easter Egg out on the clay. Use the wooden skewer to outline the Easter Egg on the clay. Now, sharp knife will help you to cut the clay Easter Egg. The borders of the egg should be rather flat, that's why the knife must be sharp. The next step is the picture frame opening. You need a rectangle or square, so the knife is used again to cut it.

Then cut a little circle out of the center, I often utilize an empty aspirin bottle or old biscuit cutter for this purpose. There is some superfluous clay in the middle of your Easter Egg, so it is necessary to move it away. It's time to make some three dimensional ornament on your Easter Egg. A needle or a wood skewer or pencil point can help you to make signs into the clay.

Outline the swirls, lines and polka dots into the egg. It's even possible to make the spots by a finger. If you want the egg frame to look more realistic let the picture opening be some zigzag of if the egg is broken.

Let the Easter Egg remain untouched for some time to dry. After it gets fully dried it must be primed with high-quality primer. After some time to dry the primer to begin painting. Many people prefer to cover the Easter Egg by watercolor paints. Add some water and use some good brush or sponge. To my mind, it's better to put many layers of bright colors and to start with some deep rich one.

After its drying the following stage is adding some water to the pink watercolor paint and cover our thing with a big brush to gain a thin transparent layer. And the last step is fixing the frame with a clear acrylic spray paint or wood wax product. Now cut a piece of cardboard having the form of the Easter Egg. Stick the photo to the cardboard and then the cardboard to the frame.
